Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion

The story begins with an unprecedented event: while nimbly jumping through the trees to pick mistletoe, the village druid Getafix (Panoramix) slips and falls, breaking his foot. This minor accident triggers a major existential crisis. Getafix realizes that if he were to die or become incapacitated, the Gaulish village would be left defenseless without the magic potion that gives them superhuman strength. Determined to secure the future of the village, Getafix decides it is time to find an apprentice. Accompanied by Asterix, Obelix, and a young village girl named Pectine who stows away in their cauldron, he sets out on a journey across Gaul to interview young druids and pass on the secret recipe. Meanwhile, a bitter and exiled rival druid named Demonix (Sulfurix) learns of Getafix's quest. Demonix sees an opportunity for revenge and power. He attempts to manipulate the selection process to steal the recipe, eventually striking a deal with the Romans—who are eager to finally conquer the last holdout of Gaulish resistance while the village's main defenders are away.
